SFEREN / SPHERES [2011 - heden]   online from may 2013

A study about painting, its size and definition of the color space. Where is the Horizon if you're just surrounded by shimmering color.

KANTIJ [2009 - 2011]

Mijn onderzoek van de (zachte) mentale ruimte; wat zie, beleef en ervaar ik.
Ik kijk door een kanten sluier, op zoek naar scherpe contouren.

Since 2009 I work on ‘soft’ views: in KANTIJ. Give me a lace veil that envelops
my perception. Which image to follow? Nature or man? Front or back focus?

INCANTO    [2008 - 2009]

Incanto betekent betovering, een serie over het wonderlijke van de directe en
huidige tijd en ruimte, het nu. In 2008 was dat het Toscaanse 'zachte' panorama.

In 2008 I painted my series INCANTO, in the colors of my perception of the
Tuscan landscapes. Here I made the first soft panoramas.

BAUC: BREITNER - Amsterdam Under Construction    [2004 - 2008]

Breitner Amsterdam Under Construction is een ode aan de ;harde' Amsterdamse
stad vol bouwputten. Over tijdelijkheid, Amsterdam en harde panorama's.

Between 2005 and 2008 I worked in Amsterdam on BAUC, a tribute to the ‘hard’ city full of constructions views.

VVDS VIA VAL DI SOLE  [ 2001 - 2003 ]

Via Val Di Sole is het adres van mijn ouderlijk huis in Milaan. Hierin verken ik de beeldende werking tussen de herinnering (verleden) én de waarneming (heden).

Via Val di Sole is the address of my parents' house in Milan. In this series I explore
the visual effect between the memory (the past) and perception (the present).

HEIMAT    [2000]

Wanneer en bij wie voel je je thuis? En wat is dat thuisgevoel? HEIMAT is een serie schilderijen over het 'thuis-voelen'met de stoel als portret van diens eigenaar.

When and with whom you feel at home? And what is this at-home feeling?
HEIMAT is a series about this home-feeling, with the chair as a portrait of its owner.

SIC TRANSIT GLORIA MUNDI [1994 / 2010 + 2011]

Een ode aan de kleine Eusebius Kerk (Arnhem). De kerk is gesloopt en de Heiligen dakloos. Als Heiligen bestaan en we kunnen ze zien: hoe zien ze eruit?
All beauty is fleeting, like the little Eusebius Church (Arnhem). The church was
demolished and the Saints homeless. If Saints would exist and we could see them: how would they look like?
